Creativity & State of Mind

I’ve been wondering for a long time about the creative process. How is it triggered, and how can it be tapped into? From my own experience, I realise more and more that a true outpouring of creativity only takes place whenever I’m able to transcend it, i.e. when my mind is completely quiet and all thought processes stop... I’d be happy to discuss this and other topics in my forum.
